Key zones of each dwelling open up to intimate courtyards reflecting sunlight deep within the floor plate. The green spaces act as acoustic buffers between dwellings connecting the inhabitant’s to nature capturing the temporal moments of time and place.

Each dwelling comprises of one key living zone with flexible quiet zones for retreat and reflection.

Fabric

Modular patterns create simplistic rhythm and a sense of calm. The material palette is pared back juxtaposing the monolithic feel of concrete with the softness of timber, water and vegetation.

Fabrication

Through constant refinement DUO are experimenting with the play of light on texture and acoustic absorption to provide two dwellings where the occupants can live in absolute privacy without being observed or disturbed.
